Tashkent Metropolitan University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Missouri
Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Missouri (MU), USA, marking an important step toward deepening international academic cooperation.
The MoU was signed in Tashkent by Dr. Mary Stegmaier, Vice Provost for International Programs at the University of Missouri, and Bekhzod Djalilov, President of Tashkent Metropolitan University.
This landmark document reflects a shared commitment to fostering innovation, advancing research, and promoting educational exchange between the two institutions.
Under the terms of the MoU, TMU and MU will collaborate in several key areas:
Faculty Exchange and Research Collaboration:
Both universities will facilitate the exchange of faculty members for joint teaching and research initiatives. Faculty will also collaborate on developing proposals for external research funding.
Student Mobility:
The agreement supports the enrollment of qualified students in each other’s academic programs. Participants will adhere to the host university’s admission policies, tuition fees, and other relevant requirements as outlined in supplementary agreements.
Intellectual Property and Research Outcomes:
The two institutions will establish separate agreements governing research projects and intellectual property developed through joint activities. Ownership of any patents, copyrights, or related rights will be determined based on each party’s contribution.
