Tashkent Metropolitan University opens admissions for the 2025-2026 academic year

Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) officially launches its admission campaign for the 2025-2026 academic year. Applications for local and international students are now open and will continue until August 22, 2025.

TMU offers a diverse range of English-taught undergraduate programs across engineering, business, law, and humanities, with scholarship and discount opportunities available for eligible applicants.

Admissions Timeline

  • Online Application Period: January 20, 2025 (10 AM) – August 22, 2025 (5 PM)
  • Entrance Examinations: Available immediately after application for contract-based admissions; scholarship exam scheduled for July 7, 2025
  • Decision Announcement: Results will be sent via email on the same day as the entrance exam

Students can apply via the Telegram bot (https://t.me/tmunibot) by uploading required documents, including a passport, high school diploma, and proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent).

Programs Offered

TMU offers full-time, four-year undergraduate programs in the following fields:

  • School of Engineering: Computer Science
  • School of Business: Accounting and Finance, Management, Marketing, International Business, Economics
  • Law School: Law
  • School of Arts and Humanities: English Language Teaching, Early Childhood Education

The first year consists of foundation studies, after which students proceed to specialized courses in their chosen field.

Scholarships and Discounts

TMU provides several scholarship opportunities for outstanding students:

Merit Scholarships:
Awarded to the top 42 applicants based on entrance exam results, covering up to 100% of tuition fees for the first semester:

  • 100% scholarship for ranks 1-2
  • 75% scholarship for ranks 3-4
  • 50% scholarship for ranks 5-7
  • 20% scholarship for ranks 8-22
  • 10% scholarship for ranks 23-42

English Proficiency Discount:
Applicants can receive up to a 100% tuition discount based on their IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo scores:

  • 25% discount – IELTS 5.0, TOEFL 41-58, Duolingo 80-90, CEFR 50-54
  • 50% discount – IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 59-69, Duolingo 95-100, CEFR 55-57
  • 75% discount – IELTS 6, TOEFL 70-86, Duolingo 105-115, CEFR 58-61
  • 100% discount – IELTS 6.5-9, TOEFL 87-120, Duolingo 120-160, CEFR 62-75

Discounts for the English proficiency certificates are valid for the 1st semester only. From the 2nd semester onwards, students can compete for English Proficiency Excellence Scholarships.

Academic Excellence Scholarships:
From the second semester onwards, the top-performing students in each department will be awarded scholarships based on their academic performance. For more information, visit Academic Excellence Scholarships page.

Special Talent Scholarships:
Fully funded scholarships are available for applicants with extraordinary achievements, such as winners of international Olympiads in mathematics, computer science, informatics, and other global competitions. Additionally, students with high SAT scores (1400+) and IELTS 7.5 or higher may qualify.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Scholarships:
Students holding an IB Diploma can receive a 50% tuition discount for the first semester and compete for other scholarships from the second semester onwards.

Tuition Fees and Payment Options

For local students, tuition fees for the foundation year are 10 million UZS per semester, while international students pay 1,000 USD per semester. Flexible payment options are available, including installment plans.

Application Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a high school, lyceum, or college diploma, or submit official certificate of enrollment and expected graduation for students of the 11th grade
  • Provide proof of English proficiency with a valid certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, DuoLingo, or CEFR), a copy of the Applicant’s Passport and electronic photo (3.5 cm × 4.5 cm) taken within the last three months.
  • Complete the online application by August 22, 2025
