Tashkent Metropolitan University and Academic Lyceum No. 1 under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan sign memorandum of cooperation
A memorandum of strategic cooperation was signed in Tashkent between Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) and Academic Lyceum No. 1 under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The document was signed by TMU Rector Behzod Jalilov and the Lyceum Director, Colonel Sherali Turaev.
The memorandum aims to foster a partnership focused on improving the quality of education, preparing motivated and career-oriented students, and strengthening the connection between secondary and higher education.
Special emphasis within the agreement will be placed on supporting talented students and developing their skills in foreign languages, mathematics, law, and artificial intelligence.
The parties agreed to organize joint educational activities such as seminars, masterclasses, open lessons, and career guidance events in the fields of artificial intelligence, English, mathematics, and more. University faculty will provide methodological and academic support to the Lyceum, including assistance in preparing students for academic competitions, contests, and project-based initiatives.
Graduates of the Lyceum who demonstrate high academic performance and possess international language certifications will be granted preferential admission to TMU, including the possibility of enrollment without entrance exams.
The cooperation will also benefit Lyceum teachers. Training sessions and professional development courses will be conducted at the university, the “ustoz-shogird” (mentor-apprentice) program will be implemented, and the two institutions will work together to improve educational curricula. The university also commits to regularly informing students about available scholarships, tuition discounts, and international academic exchange opportunities.
TMU Rector Behzod Jalilov emphasized that this collaboration will help establish a sustainable platform for preparing a new generation of specialists equipped to tackle modern challenges and offer innovative solutions.
