University of Arizona Delegation Visits TMU Campus to Discuss Joint Programs
Representatives of the University of Arizona (USA) visited the campus of Tashkent Metropolitan University.
The delegation included Senior Director for Central and South Asia Relations Ricky Salazar and Program Director Ludmila Clarke.
During the meeting, the President of Tashkent Metropolitan University Bekhzod Djalilov presented the university’s activities, educational programs, and ongoing initiatives.
The American guests, in turn, spoke about the University of Arizona’s operations, its academic programs, and opportunities available to international students.
The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including the launch of joint academic programs, student exchange initiatives, and faculty training.
Founded in 1885 by the 13th Arizona Territorial Legislature, the University of Arizona is a public research university located in Tucson and was the first higher education institution established in the territory of Arizona.
It is one of three universities governed by the Arizona Board of Regents, alongside Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University.
As of fall 2023, the university enrolled 53,187 students across 22 colleges and schools, including the Eller College of Management, Wyant College of Optical Sciences, College of Medicine – Phoenix, College of Medicine – Tucson, and the James E. Rogers College of Law.
