Tashkent Metropolitan University Announces the Launch of Admissions for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) officially announces the launch of its admissions campaign for the 2026–2027 academic year. Applications for citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and international applicants are now open and will be accepted until 21 August 2026.
TMU offers modern, English-taught bachelor’s degree programs aligned with international academic standards and the demands of the global labor market. All instruction is delivered entirely in English. Talented applicants are eligible for scholarships and tuition discounts.
Application Timeline
Online application period:
2 February 2026 – 21 August 2026 (until 5:00 p.m.)
Entrance examinations:
Available immediately after application submission for fee-paying (contract-based) study
Announcement of results:
Results are sent to applicants by email within 24 hours of taking the exam
Applications are submitted online via the Telegram bot: https://t.me/tmuqabulbot
Applicants must upload scanned copies of their passport, educational certificate, and a certificate confirming their English language proficiency.
Admission Requirements
To apply to TMU, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A certificate of secondary education
- (school diploma, lyceum or college diploma),
- or an official certificate of current study and expected graduation for Grade 11 students;
- A valid English language proficiency certificate
- (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, or CEFR);
- A copy of the passport and a digital photograph (3.5 × 4.5 cm)
- taken within the last 3 months;
- Completion of the online application by 21 August 2026.

During the first year of study, students complete the Foundation Program. From the second year onward, studies continue in the chosen major with in-depth professional training.
If the number of enrolled students does not exceed 60% of the faculty’s admission quota, the program will not be launched.
Scholarships and Tuition Discounts
TMU offers a wide range of scholarships and discounts for motivated and high-achieving students.
Awarded to the top 42 applicants based on entrance exam results and covering up to 100% of tuition for the first semester:
- 100% — 1–2 places
- 75% — 3–4 places
- 50% — 5–7 places
- 20% — 8–22 places
- 10% — 23–42 places
Discounts based on English language proficiency (valid for the first semester only):
- 25% — IELTS 5.0 | TOEFL 41–58 | Duolingo 80–90 | CEFR 50–54
- 50% — IELTS 5.5 | TOEFL 59–69 | Duolingo 95–100 | CEFR 55–57
- 75% — IELTS 6.0 | TOEFL 70–86 | Duolingo 105–115 | CEFR 58–61
- 100% — IELTS 6.5–9.0 | TOEFL 87–120 | Duolingo 120–160 | CEFR 62–75
From the second semester, students may apply for the English Proficiency Excellence Scholarship.
Academic Excellence Scholarships
Starting from the second semester, top-performing students of each faculty receive scholarships based on academic performance.
TMU Excellence Scholarships
Full scholarships are awarded to applicants with outstanding achievements, including:
- Winners of international Olympiads;
- Applicants with SAT scores of 1400+;
- Applicants with IELTS 7.5 or higher.
- Scholarships for IB Graduates
Holders of the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma receive a 50% tuition discount for the first semester and may compete for scholarships from the second semester onward.
Tuition Fees
- For local students: from 10 million to 17.5 million soums per semester
- For international students: from US$1,000 per semester
- Flexible payment options are available, including installment plans.
