Tashkent Metropolitan University and Bangor University Sign Partnership Agreement, Opening Pathways to International Degrees
Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) proudly announces the signing of an articulation agreement with the prestigious Bangor University (BU) in the United Kingdom. This strategic partnership provides unique opportunities for TMU students and strengthens the university’s position on the international education stage.
“3+1” Programs in Business and Law
The new agreement establishes “3+1” programs, allowing TMU students to continue their studies at Bangor University from the third year of the corresponding programs after successfully completing three years at TMU.
- For students in the Business track, participants of the BA Management, BA Marketing, BSc Accounting and Finance, and BSc Economics programs who achieve an average score of 60% or higher in key module examinations will be eligible to enroll in the third year of the BSc Business Management, BSc Marketing, BSc Accounting and Finance, or BSc Economics programs at Bangor University’s School of Business.
- For students in the Law track, participants of the LLB Law program who achieve an average score of 60% or higher in key module examinations will have the opportunity to continue their studies in the third year of the LLB Law program at Bangor University’s School of Law.
Upon completion of studies at Bangor University, students will be awarded a degree fully equivalent to that received by British students. This opens doors to international careers and global recognition of their qualifications.
Key Requirements and Support
To successfully transition to Bangor University programs, students must meet established English language proficiency requirements:
- Bangor Business School: minimum IELTS score of 6.0 (no component below 5.5) or equivalent.
- Bangor Law School: minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (no component below 6.0) or equivalent.
Students who do not yet meet these requirements will have the opportunity to complete a Summer Intensive English Course at Bangor University before the academic year begins, ensuring full preparation for study and smooth integration into the international academic community.
