Munisa Muhtarova is the Founding Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities and Foundation Programs at Tashkent Metropolitan University. She is an accomplished academic leader with a proven track record of establishing schools, having previously held the same founding role at Akfa University.

Her expertise lies in curriculum and instruction, teacher education, and educational leadership, which she is furthering through her ongoing Doctorate.

With a rich background in teaching, she has lectured on a wide range of subjects from Academic English to Public Speaking. Munisa is also actively engaged in significant educational projects, such as the "Training for English Teachers" certificate program and the "AU Talks" public speaking initiative.

Her contributions to education have been recognized with prestigious national awards, including a commendation from the Tashkent City Mayor's Office. She consistently participates in international conferences and workshops to stay at the forefront of educational practices.

Projects & Grants

  • AU Talks - a project aiming to enhance youth’s public speaking skills and help them overcome stage fright. The program is suitable for high school and college students and is held annually.
  • TET - Training for English Teachers - a certificate program for secondary school English Teachers to enhance their language teaching skills and introduce them to contemporary language teaching methods applicable to a standard classroom setting.
  • Spelling Bee - a spelling competition for high school and college students to improve their English Language proficiency through developing accuracy in pronunciation, spelling, and vocabulary expansion.
  • LFT - Learning with a Foreign Teacher - a program for school children that provides an opportunity to learn from a foreign teacher, enhance their language skills, and develop their problem-solving skills.
  • BRD - Books and Resources Donation Project - the project focused on donating English books, materials, and other resources, including toys and learning materials, to public schools and preschools.
